PREPARATION: Training myself to connect with God and to be open to and ready for what His Presence brings.
Before an athlete steps onto the field, before a musician takes the stage, before an artist picks up the brush—there is preparation. The same is true for our spiritual lives. The most meaningful encounters with God rarely happen by accident; they flow from hearts that have been prepared, minds that have been quieted, and souls that have been made ready. This guide isn't about adding another overwhelming layer to your already busy life—it's about discovering simple, doable practices that create space for God to meet you exactly where you are.

RECEPTION: Training myself to receive from God without needing to control, filter, or immediately respond.
In the quiet moments between our asking and God's answering, between our reaching and His responding, lies one of faith's most transformative practices: reception. Think of a child opening their hands to catch falling snow, or a gardener positioning a seedling to receive morning light—there's an art to being truly open to what God wants to give us.
Reception isn't about sitting passively and hoping something happens; it's about training our hearts to recognize God's grace when it comes, often in ways we didn't expect or think to ask for.

PARTICIPATION: Training to bring myself with purpose, presence, and love to God and to others around me.
Life is not meant to be lived as a spectator sport, watching from the sidelines as God works in the world around us. True spiritual growth happens when we step onto the field—when our hearts, minds, and bodies willingly engage with what God is already doing.
Participation is the beautiful practice of showing up with intention, bringing our whole selves—gifts, talents, struggles, and all—into partnership with God's ongoing work. It's about discovering the joy of recognizing where God is moving in your daily life and saying a simple 'yes' to joining Him.

REFLECTION: Training myself to mine for Truth and allow space to discern love received and love expressed.
Life moves fast, but growth happens in the pause. Reflection is the practice of slowing down long enough to see what God has been doing in the ordinary moments of your days. It's about creating space to notice where love was received and love was expressed—looking for the threads of truth that run through even routine experiences.
Just as Jesus regularly pulled His disciples aside to process what they had witnessed and learned, reflection invites you to become a student of your own spiritual journey. This Meta-Practice is about learning to mine the gold from your everyday experiences and discovering how slowing down to reflect transforms ordinary moments into a deeper understanding of who God is and who you're becoming.
